The MAX7501MUA+ from Maxim Integrated Products is a digital temperature sensor and thermal watchdog with bus lockup protection in 8 pin µMAX package. It accurately measure temperature and provide an overtemperature alarm/interrupt/shutdown output. It converts the temperature measurements to digital form using a high resolution, sigma-delta, analogue to digital converter (ADC). Communication is through an I2C compatible 2-wire serial interface. It integrates a timeout feature that offers protection against I2C bus lockups. It is ideally used in PCs, servers, office electronics, electronic test equipment and industrial process control.
